Hand Block Print and Cotton Quilts
Hand Block Print is the traditional manual printing technique used for more than 300 years in India to print noble fabrics, from cotton to silk. The artisans of Jaipur print meters and meters of fabric by hand, reproducing the chosen design on the fabric. Hand-carved wooden blocks with the desired design are used, dipped in dye and then pressed onto the voile sheets that make up the quilt . The result: works of art to redesign the style of bedding.
